Since 2014 Dr. Andreas D. Schulz is teacher of politics, history and german at various secondary schools in Hessen (Kassel) and North Rhine-Westfalia  (Paderborn). In 2017 he will work in the project „Smart Environments“ at the University of Kassel. Before 2014 he was train as a teacher for secondary education in Hessen. Between 2008 and 2011 he was member of the University of Kassel, FB 05, Institute for Political Science. Currently, he is visiting lecturer at the university of applied science for public administration in Kassel. Prior he had a Fellowship by the Municipality of Vienna. He was Research Associates with the Academic Unit for Nonprofit Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (Austria) between 2006 and 2007. Research fields are political systems and welfare state, esp. social policy (health and labour policy, consumer data protection and internet policy), participation and lobbying, policy between state, market and civil society, associations and civil society organisations. In his PhD. about a big Welfare Organisation in Germany (Deutscher Caritasverband) he investigates the potentials of the organisation for the integration of long term unemployed people. Between 2007 and 2001 Schulz was Research Assistent with Prof. Adalbert Evers (Comparative Health and Social Policy) at the University Giessen (Germany) and between 2001 and 1997 Research Assistent with Prof. Dr. Alfons Schmid (Labour Economics, Social Science) at the University Frankfurt (Main). In 2010 he finished the first government-recognized exam in politics and history at the University Kassel and in 1996 his studies in Public Administration highlighting Labour Market Policy and Public Management with a diploma at the University Konstanz.
